This class will take place online from March 29th to May 3rd.
The minimum number of students required per class is three. If only two students enroll, the class will still run but will be shortened to five weeks instead of the usual six.
About the instructor:Janice is a licensed professional teacher with 13 years of experience teaching Tagalog Language and Philippine Literature. She holds a Master of Arts in Panitikang Filipino from Cebu Normal University and is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Filipino Language at the University of Mindanao. With a certificate in Early Childhood Learners from De La Salle University, Janice has also served as a Regional Trainer for the Department of Education and has conducted licensure exam reviews since 2018. An active researcher and presenter, she shared her work at the International Conference on Multidisciplinary Filipino Studies. Currently teaching at Father Saturnino Urios University, Janice specializes in creating engaging lessons, fostering positive learning environments, and tailoring instruction to diverse student needs.
About the class:Low Beginner Tagalog is designed for learners who have a basic understanding of the language, including simple phrases and a small vocabulary. This course builds on that foundation by introducing essential grammar structures, everyday vocabulary, and basic conversational skills.
Students will develop sentence-building techniques and improve their listening and speaking abilities through interactive activities and real-world scenarios. The course also includes cultural insights to deepen their connection with the language.
