This class will meet in person from August 19th to September 23rd.
The minimum number of students required per class is three. If only two students enroll, the class will still run but will be shortened to five weeks instead of the usual six.
About the instructor: Olga was born and educated in Belarus. She got her Bachelor’s Degree in French and English Languages at the University of Mogilev in Belarus in 2008, Master’s Degree in pedagogical sciences at Minsk Linguistic University in 2009. She holds ABD in Belarusian Language and Literature (Dissertation title: „Actual style traditions of women’s Russian-speaking literature of Belarus (late 20th – early 21st centuries) “). Olga speaks Russian, Belarusian, French, English and she also studied Latin.

This course is designed specifically for middle and high school students who grew up hearing Russian at home and have some level of speaking or understanding the language. Whether they speak fluently or just understand conversations, this class helps students build confidence in reading, writing, and academic language use while deepening their connection to Russian culture and identity.
Through engaging themes, interactive projects, and meaningful discussions, students will:
Strengthen grammar, spelling, and vocabulary skills
Learn to read and analyze age-appropriate Russian texts
Improve writing through creative and structured assignments
Explore modern and traditional Russian culture, history, and current events
The curriculum is tailored to match students’ abilities and backgrounds, with a supportive environment that encourages participation, self-expression, and pride in their heritage.
No need to start from scratch—this class meets students where they are and helps them grow.
