About the Instructor: Silvia is a dedicated and experienced Italian instructor with a strong academic background in classical and modern languages. She studied Latin and Ancient Greek at a liceo classico, which laid the foundation for her deep understanding of language structure and cultural heritage. She went on to specialize in foreign languages and education, combining linguistic expertise with effective teaching methodologies.
Currently based in her hometown of Verona, Italy, famous as the romantic setting of Romeo and Juliet, Silvia teaches Italian to adult learners in an online setting. She is particularly skilled at guiding students of all levels, with a focus on clear communication, cultural context, and personalized instruction. Her lessons are designed to be engaging, supportive, and tailored to the needs of each learner, whether they are studying for personal, academic, or professional reasons.

About the Class: Advanced conversational Italian class is for students who have a good understanding of the Italian language and are seeking to improve their fluency and confidence in speaking. This class focuses on improving pronunciation, refining grammar, and building vocabulary through advanced conversations, debates, and discussions on a variety of topics. Students will engage in interactive activities and engage in extended conversations to challenge their language skills. The goal is to develop a high level of proficiency in Italian and to be able to communicate effectively with native speakers in a variety of situations, including professional and social settings. The class is taught in Italian.
